The Political Climate of Early Care and Education:
A Survey of the Candidates by One Voice

One Voice is a network of 80 public, private and non-profit organizations, including Collaborative for Children, in the Greater Houston area.  We work together to ensure that the health and human service needs of all Texans are addressed in legislative, regulatory, funding and other public policy initiatives.  Within this network, there are several subcommittees and workgroups assigned to important social issues.

In the spirit of the upcoming elections in November, the Early Childhood Education Workgroup of One Voice sent a survey to each of the Texas State Representative and Senate candidates and incumbents in Harris County.  The survey was sent by mail and email, and asked important questions regarding views on critical early care and education issues.  To see the responses we received, please click the link below.  These responses have been replicated and have not been edited in any way.
